PARIS – Hungry 4 Action [AOR Boulevard Records] (2024), MP3+FLAC
Class AOR act PARIS are releasing their new album, their 4th, properly titled “Hungry 4 Action“, and as usual, you find it featured first in exclusive at here.
And “Hungry 4 Action” is not only properly titled with the ‘4’ in the middle, but for the ‘action’ we hear all over this great AOR platter. PARIS mastermind musicians / songwriters Sébastien Montet (guitars, backing vocals) and Frédéric Dechavanne (keys, synths, , backing vocals) have forged a blistering new record.
And part of the success is something we were requesting to PARIS: hire a talented singer to perform their melodic songs. Well, stars aligned: the songs on “Hungry 4 Action” are performed by Chandler Mogel (OUTLOUD), a terrific vocalist. And a guest appearance of Robert Säll (WORK OF ART, W.E.T.) completes the picture here.
Produced by Steve Newman (NEWMAN), “Hungry 4 Action” is by far the best PARIS album, pure AOR with keyboard stabs to die for, load of harmonies, and catchy choruses. Just check out, for instance, the beautiful anthem “Back To The Eighties” (do you need more proof of what this CD is all about?), the beauty of “Don’t Count on Me”, the energetic “Everytime We Fall”, etc.
A big step forward for PARIS, and “Hungry 4 Action” is easily one of the best 2024 AOR releases.
