Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
Poison’s Greatest Hits: 1986–1996 is the first greatest hits compilation CD from the glam metal band Poison. The album was released on November 26, 1996 by Capitol Records.

In 2006 Classic Rock Magazine decided to dedicate the cd enclosed with one of the issues to glam & sleaze compiled of a variety of mostly lesser known artists. The result was Sons Of Guns released with Classic Rock #92. During the next three years they released a successor each year as Sons Of Guns II – IV. The Kivel label has a knack for discovering fun, good old-school melodic hard rock bands, and WILD AMERICA definitely fits the bill. “Gasoline” is that kind of albums you’ll love at first listen.
