Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Haphazzard – Self Titled 1994 Glam / Sleaze Metal Indie CD Ultra Rare…
Very rare CD. Went for 153$ on e-bay a couple of months ago. On the same Japanese label as Taz and Swingin’ Thing. I would say these four songs are not more than decent, but still they are much better than todays music. Reminds me a bit of L.A. Guns and Swingin’ Thing…
Once quite rare recordings of the band with the old lead singer Tommy Haight, who, after some time, will replace Michael Michelle, and still later in the bosom of the Alleycat Scratch comes Eddie Robinson, whose voice you all probably heard of their famous «Deadboys in Trash City». (more…)

The glam themes of love, sex, parties, booze and cars are all back in their faded glories and are presented in a not too serious way with great élan. If there is such a thing as the ideal “driving music” CD, this one comes pretty close.

Call Of The Wild is the debut studio album by American Sleaze band Jungle Blue, released in 2008 by Suncity Records. Jungle Blue’s sound is best described as Melodic Hard Rock with a tinge of pop for good measure with killer song writing and musicianship. (more…)
Another rare live album from the vaults of L.A’s most notorious and lethal hard rock band, L.A. Guns! Riding high on the success of their 1989 gold album, Cocked & Loaded, Phil Lewis, Tracii Guns, Mick Cripps, Kelly Nickels & Steve Riley leave it all on the stage for this triumphant performance featuring “Electric Gypsy,” “Never Enough,” “The Ballad Of Jayne” and more!
Pretty good stuff, though nothing outstanding. But like I always say, 80s melodic hard rock/metal is a lot like sex, even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty fuckin good. Anyway, I Got the Itch and Restless Young & Wild are both good tracks, and Passion has some excellent guitar soloing in it. Hell, I have the video for Passion from Headbangers Ball back in the day, and its a BEAST!!!
