Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

The recent resurgence of 80’s era styled hard rock owes a bit of debt to Los Angeles cult heroes Spiders & Snakes. The over the top glam band formed by singer / guitarist Lizzie Grey (formerly of Ultrapop and London) and drummer Timothy Jay (also a former member of Ultrapop and London) in the early 90’s has remained a constant dynamic entity in the international music market and has been cited by several European bands as an inspiration and influence.

Stakk Attakk is the debut album by Wrathchild, released in June 1984.

In 1987, while working with the band’s second album, he was approached by Bruno Ravel and Steve West to join Danger Danger and he accepted.

RATT vocalist Stephen Pearcy began his career in San Diego in 1978 with lead guitarist Chris Hager to form Mickey Ratt. He moved Mickey Ratt to Los Angeles in 1980 and after going thru personal changes created the band RATT as we know it.
