Fate Gear – Kill The Shadow King 2024

Steampunk metal band FATE GEAR will release a new album on December 18th. Kill the Shadow King comes six months after The Vanguard Of Hades. Like its predecessor, the new album is a hybrid release, containing a mix of studio and live recordings.

The studio recordings include the album’s title track, sung by touring vocalists NANA and Hime Hashimura, and a self-cover of Awayuki no inori featuring MISLIAR and ex-Asriel vocalist KOKOMI.

The live portion of the album consists of seven songs recorded at a Belgian show on the European leg of FATE GEAR’s Live In Blood 2024 world tour. Kill the Shadow King will be available in two editions, with the Deluxe Edition also containing a DVD of the music video for Kill the Shadow King (feat. NANA, Hime Hashimura). In other news, on October 30th, singer and voice actress Yoko Hikasa released the digital single Rengoku no Gloria, composed and produced by FATE GEAR guitarist Captain Mina. Hikasa sings in-character as Vanessa from the anime series “Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?” Rengoku no Gloria can be streamed in full below, followed by a trailer for Kill the Shadow King and Sanbun no ichi baisoku no You suffer teki na kanjou, a three-second grindcore track Mina contributed to Coregula, the debut album from GORE-GIRL PROJECT, an extreme metal project helmed by illustrator and lyricist yuki.
