Sagittari – Albert Fish (2012)

Domestic Sagittari speed metal band in 2008 with his debut “snake charmer” surprised Czech melodic scene. Although the album there were some small flies, so everyone had to please fans of melodic metal with voice vyšponovaným to heavenly heights. On the new album I therefore enjoyed greatly, and I hoped that this time everything will be well-tuned to perfection. As it turned out? The album is a pleasant listen, but I feel that he has a little lacking. Located on him as a good song (some more than good), but unfortunately few of these that he slightly spoiled his reputation and also in the second half slowly begins to occur breath.

This time, I confess more than sedmdesátiminutového tight, waiting for us relatively modest 45 minutes (including two bonuses). After the initial intro too long “La Marcha Y El Baile De La Muerte” surprise thrashing speed metal “Recycling”. On first listen, deliver significant hardening, improved audio performance and perfect singer Ivos Mazourka. This song must satisfy all fans of this style. The second thing “Labyrinths” is a hot candidate for a single. It has a catchy chorus and especially at the end Ivoš Mazourek proves that there is no need to mourn for Ladislav Krizek, who with Kreyson the new album apparently resigned. The following “Recently finished the day” offers an interesting mood, make you feel like a melodic chorus might not even belong to the otherwise fairly hard track. All to myself but great and this song fits belts on one of the biggest hits of the board. Remains neither in the title “Albert Fish”, which again will see speed metal speed chorus melody. Czech texts do not bother me at all and spoil my experience of the album (such as with bands Rimortis or Power 5), the songs are missing progressivity and greater swings, which is so characteristic debut. If it’s good or bad, I leave that to you. For me it is a step forward.

“Reality” passes rather mid-tempo, but unfortunately it lacks impressionability previous songs. Even so, however, keeps its standard and it is nothing for what the band should be ashamed. Live must work perfectly. With agile bang “Error Hesternuss” have once again return to the waters of speed metal, but again inferior to the first half of the album. At a high level, but it holds great power Ivos (how many times have I praise him?). We will see a significant slowdown in the song “Dawn”, which is a pleasant listening. The famous ballad from the debut album “Graffiti” but does not. Final track “Memento Mori” is mild compared to the rest of the album particulates and spoils me otherwise a great impression from this board. This song sounds unlike other tasteless and insipid chorus does not add much originality. Fortunately, however, have prepared two Sagittari bonuses. The former “Poison River” was the first taste from the new album and still can not get enough of her. Absolutely breathtaking speed metal euphoria that reminds me of the song “Judas At The Opera” from German Edguy. There is absolutely nothing to her what my true speed metal anthem have. Very end of the second bonusovce include “The Preacher,” which is not overtly bad, but with the previous song can not compare in the slightest.

What can I say? The band came Sagittari. Each member of perfectly controls his instrument, the singer famously dominates the high tones and it takes me. There’s nothing else to hope that the board enforce, and that in the future we will see continue. If you guys wearing will incorporate, so we could not wait perfect speed metal album.
