Slavery – Dawn Of Mankind
Also a point of criticism is unfortunately singer Philipp Bohnacker who strives, but does not have enough power in his voice to the compositions can make his mark. Especially in the higher range, he has significant weaknesses which are unnecessary, especially because he very confident in the deeper area. The difference can be clearly (I think – the band is obviously in my opinion) in the song ‘Leaving Eden (Part 1)’ to hear. In the deeper passages sounds Philipp great! With another vocal arrangements, many of the songs clearly win on “Dawn Of Mankind”!
So unfortunately there is only a good, but still half-baked work, which indeed shows strong approaches, but still can not totally convincing distance. When a young band like SLAVERY is allowed but which overstate certainly not, and also the fact that the musicians have their own style yet found quite and poaching in different territories, it should not be too much put on the gold scale, especially as the density of great riffs amazingly high. Everything else can still become, write riffs seems as far more important.
A word about the texts: Even if the ‘Gunslinger’ and the song title suggests, it does not leave, the men have to say quite a bit. Unfortunately I only have a pre-download (one thing is certain: Downloads are NOT Metal), so I make the text can not be read in full and that’s why I leave no differentiated comment in the location, but it is refreshing in any case, from Germany once again be heard more than the typical cock & ball or I-am-so-so-metal lyrics.
