Mark St John – Magic Bullet Theory (2003)
Instrumental solo album from former Kiss member Mark St. John. He replaced Gene Vincent in Kiss in 1984 and Animalize was recorded with Mark St. John. However he came down with reactive arthritis during tour rehearsals, and only performed at a handful of shows before being dismissed from the band in December 1984. He was replaced by Bruce Kulick.
Mark St. John was assaulted while in prison at Theo Lacy Jail in Orange County, California. A guard allegedly conspired with a group of inmates to have St. John assaulted, and subsequently St. John was brutally beaten and stabbed with pencils by a group of up to 20 inmates. After leaving Theo Lacy Jail, St. John suffered severe headaches and body aches. After his release he refused to see a doctor due to having no medical insurance, and thus his health deteriorated. He died Apr. 5, 2007 in Hollywood, California due to what the coroner described as a brain hemorrhage brought on by an accidental overdose of methamphetamine.
