SUNSTRIKE – Ready to Strike 2016

Sophomore album of Swedish outfit SUNSTRIKE easily connects with the 2014 debut “Rock Your World”. Melodies as far as the ears can tell, bombastic keys, huge choirs and a “fun-guarantee”, the Scandinavians know how to do it. Joachim Nordlund (g, ASTRAL DOORS) and Johann Lindstedt (dr) offer a large amount of pure AOR. Frontman Christian Eriksson (TWILIGHT FORCE, THEANDER EXPRESSION) again delivers quality vocals.

A great production and a varied, fresh guitar sound complete the picture. Anthems like “Head Over Heels”, “Rock This House” or “Someone To Love” stick out of a great album. Towards the end, “Sail Away”, a timeless ballad with slightly modern sounding keys, provides a lot of emotion. Finest AOR from Sweden!
