FROZEN EYES – Frozen Eyes (1988)
Gothenburg outfit FROZEN EYES came to the attention of the masses when the band had a track on the English compilation album ‘Metal Collection’ on Ebony Records in 1987. Earlier works included the 1985 demo ‘Have Some Breakfast’, 1986 sessions ‘Eyes Cream’ and ‘The Winter’s Gate’ with ‘The Dolls Of Success’ released in 1987.
Having recorded a full blooded album the following year for the Büms Records label the group split, guitarist Mattias Eklundh joining Danish act FATE’ to record the ‘Scratch n’ Sniff’ album before reuniting with FROZEN EYES drummer Jocke Sjöberg to form the highly regarded trio FREAK KITCHEN. Ex-guitarist Magnus Johansson would consequently join PAIN OF SALVATION THE PROJECT HATE
FROZEN EYES bassist Leif Larsson subsequently joined. During May 2003 Larsson announced the formation of a fresh band project, a trad Heavy Metal venture dubbed in union with former BOULEVARD MIDNIGHT BLUEB-THONG drummer Morgan Petterson, singer Oscar Carlquist and guitarists Daniel Johansson and Harry Granroth.
