GTG – Great Train Graveyard 2025, MP3+FLAC

Steve Newman (guitars, keys) and Ben Green (vocals), bandmates in COMPASS, have a new project in common: GREAT TRAIN GRAVEYARD. With the addition of drummer Rob McEwen (Newman, Santa Ana Winds) completing the line up, the band is about to release their debut, self-titled album “Great Train Graveyard” set to drop on March 28, 2025, via AOR Blvd Records.

Steve Newman & Co. go for a classic hard rock style here, and darn, this is good stuff. The twelve songs, mostly written by Newman, are a great blend of riffs, melody and energy in the spirit of the Seventies but updated. The sound and production are powerful and pretty organic, showcasing true love for details.
The British outfit truly set a mark with this debut – classic hard rock is alive and kicking. And this isn’t just a one-off project, there’s another album in the making.
