Bite The Bullet – Looking For Paradise 2024

Bite The Bullet, AOR US group, will release their new album, Looking For Paradise, on August 23, 2024 via Escape Music. Bite The Bullet was formed in 1986 by singer-songwriter Mick Benton and drummer Graham Cowling.

They met in 1984 when they both joined the west London rock band ‘Mother’s Ruin’. Thanks to the legendary Greg Lake, Benton managed to secure a solo contract with Atlantic Records and asked Cowling to play drums. It’s good to see that their collaboration is still going strong to this day.

In 1986, “Bite the Bullet” was formed and the music played was in the style of Foreigner, Toto and Mr. Mister. An album was released in 1989 with discreet success. The music was warmly received and the group gained some radio play.

Benton and Cowling remained friends and continued to play pubs and clubs over the years, which brings us up to 2019 when their debut album was re-released on CD. It lit a flame in both men and brought the original recording back to the forefront and old fans re-evaluated the album while new fans joined in. In January 2021, the year began with “Black and White” (ESM349) followed by “End of the Line” (ESM361) in 2022 and most recently “Rocky Road” (ESM375) 2023. The group successfully combines its own unique sound with similarities to Mr Mister and Asia to produce a nice soft rock pop sound.
