Black Country Communion – Live Over Europe [2011, Blu-ray]
Live Over Europe is a Blu-ray edition of the Anglo-American rock supergroup, recorded on 14 HD cameras in the summer of 2011 in the German cities of Hamburg, Munich and Berlin and released on October 24, 2011.
The band was originally conceived during a joint gig for Guitar Center (a chain of musical instrument stores headquartered in California, USA) Joe Bonamassa and a few friends, including Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes. Producer Kevin Shirley offered to form a band, which was soon joined by drummer Jason Bonham. The concept of a trio group did not suit Joe Bonamassa and it was decided to invite keyboardist Derek Sherinian. They decided to call the band Black Country, but were forced to change their name due to the threat of a lawsuit from another band with the same name.
