The Killerhertz – A Mirror’s Portrait (2017)
Danish hard rock act The Killerhertz will release the second album “A Mirror’s Portrait” on November 17th via Dr. Music Records, distributed internationally by Soulfood. “A Mirror’s Portrait” is once again produced by Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Rainbow, Blind Guardian). It will appear to fans of both traditional and modern hard rock.
Three years after the debut album “A Killer Anthem,” the Kastrup natives have once again entrenched themselves in the Earplug Studio and recorded a sparkling follow-up with ”A Mirror’s Portrait.” Led by singer and guitarist Thomas Trold, the band, founded in 2011, has once again produced a strong hard ‘n’ heavy album, which bridges the gap between the 80s and 90s heavy metal scene that takes influences from both Metallica or Megadeth and modern hard rock and adds a pinch of Danish rock à la Pretty Maids. Check out the music video for the song ”Teenage Rebellion” in the player at the bottom. The clip was directed by Jan Klausen.
“A Mirror’s Portrait” features ten songs that reflect the experiences and thoughts of singer Thomas Trold, who had formerly been successful with PitchBlack. The lyrics deal with the multi-dimensional aspects of everyday life, such as interpersonal crises, broken relationships or loss in a sensitive way that touches the listener. The song “Teenage Rebellion” describes how the own rebellious ego changes as a role model for one’s own children and in “Crash and Burn” life has to follow a diversion.
