Dreamhunter – Bad Attitude (2001)
Örebro melodic Rockers Dreamhunter possess a distinct penchant for American radio friendly melody. Prior to 1998 the band was known as Life Line. First set ‘Kingdom Come’ was delivered in June 2000. Pony Canyon Records issued ‘Kingdom Come’ in Japan with the bonus track ‘The Confessions Of An Ordinary Man’. The May 2001 album ‘Bad Attitude’, issued through British label Z Records, was engineered and mixed by Dan Swano, normally associated with more aggressive material such as his own unit Edge Of Sanity.
The guys are back in 2001 with a quick fire second release to hopefully build on the momentum started with their debut. Their own brand of over the top stadium anthems are back in full swing with another collection of great catchy rock n roll. Their debut contained a range of great songs, with a couple in particular standing high over the others. On Bad Attitude, the playing field is a little more even, with the songs complimenting each other, resulting in a generally better flowing record.
There is no doubting the guys can write great songs with plenty of great melodic rock hooks, with this album full of them. This album is superb, both dreamhunters realeses are pure melodic rock class, similar Foreigner, Bon Jovi or Honeymoon Suite!
