Snow White – One Cold Night (1988)
Snow White was formed in early 1987 at the peak of Hair Metal. David Barker – guitar/vocals, Ben Barker – drums/vocals, Billy Brooks – lead vocals, Bryant Ransom – bass/vocals & Brent Stevens – guitar/vocals, made up the 5 piece band. Snow White was each of the members first real band. After months of hard practicing and song writing, Snow White performed live for the first time at the legendary Baity’s Music Garden in Winston-Salem, NC in January of 1988.
Heavy gigging followed for all of 1988. On June 17th 1988, Snow White recorded & mixed a 9 track album in one day entitled “One Cold Night”. Although you can hear the sloppiness from the rushed recording, and the inexperience from the studio first-timers. The album still has a lot of character. “One Cold Night” was released in August of 1988. The album sold extremely well at shows & the band had a very strong following, but because of disagreements (not to mention a band of all teenagers) Snow White broke up in early 1989. David & Ben Barker went on to form the band Passion.
