In 1997 Phil Vincent released “Rising”. A collection of songs he had written and recorded as vehicles to send to other artists such as the Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, and even Madonna.
After hearing no response from the initial mailings he chose to become the artist himself. Sure, one man bands don’t become household names unless your name is Prince or Lenny Kravitz but Phil still wanted to do it his way.
