Russ Dwarf – WIRELESS 2013

338294ee2e1deb7344895e3b301fc3c8459b5815When it came to Canadian heavy metal in the mid 80’s there were really two groups are fighting for dominance – Helix charged with sexual hymns and killer dwarves “more direct blue-collar rock. How did you get quite a successful career move partly energetic live performances, and gained cult status over the years. Farce comedy displayed in Killer Dwarfs early music video will help promote a more recent albums such as Big Deal, and dirty arms.
Today enigmatic frontman Russ Dwarf flew wooden box that held him captive during the “keep the spirit alive” video, with a sudden burst of inspiration and welcomed. With several projects in the works, the first to grace us Wireless – which, as the title suggests, is set off and then worked classics Killer Dwarfs. Unplugged album live and die with the voice, and despite decades of commanding the stage with elegance homeless drunk and often end up on the head, Russ Dwarf still has the vocal cords to make wireless work.
You can pretty much imagine that the killer dwarves songs to record and acoustically (which is why something like “Heavy Mental Breakdown” is missing), and you will not find many surprises in this regard. Dwarf sounds great and does justice to the opening numbers “to keep the spirit alive” and “Stand Tall”, two of his most popular songs, but it really starts to “glow” with “Startin” shine “and the incredible reconstruction of the” do not matter. “I was a bit disappointed “Comin ‘Through”, most likely due to the fact I was expecting it the most, but softened rendition of “Dirty Weapons” makes up for it.
Hard rock band cutting power in their guitars and a drum set burial always seemed a bit odd. Blazing carving and pounding drums are required for any heavy metal band, but removing all that distance changes the whole dynamic. I do not mind releases as wireless, though, as they offer a vulnerability not often seen on Earth shattering albums, we all remember. Listeners either love or hate these types of albums, but if you like the return of the genre to be disabled Russ Dwarf will be a welcome addition.
