Hydro – Bright Phoenix 2012
today/like a Symphony X, Angra, Rhapsody and Hammerfal
Bright Phoenix is the title of the debut of Hydro, a quintet from Ancona devoted to a sound heavily prone to power metal with melodic and some inclination epic and progressive. The training was established in 2007 and with assets only demo Promo 2007, directed its musical director of styles consolidated retained to success by bands like Symphony X, Angra, Rhapsody and Hammerfall.
The structure of the piece, sometimes take too long, it is quite varied and highlights some interesting aspects that bode well for his future career of this training. I hit the sweet and appealing vocalism of Nicola Santoni, able, however, to be properly incisive in the most grim, to highlight certain conditions, the use of a second more aggressive voice that creates a welcome diversification. Also worth mentioning the excellent duo Cavina / Giancamilli species in the execution of the six-string solos very effective. Of stature also the contribution of the rhythm section. The work in the recording is of exquisite workmanship and also the cover of the full length has been beautifully maintained.
